Develop the leaders you cannot afford to overlook.
Your next leader may already be delivering strong results inside the organization. The Executive Gravitas Accelerator™ from MOR Consulting Group strengthens the strategic thinking, communication, influence and team leadership required for broader responsibility.
Your next leader may already be inside the organization.
Capable leaders are often delivering strong results long before they are viewed as ready for broader responsibility. The gap is not always technical ability. It is often the ability to think beyond a functional role, communicate recommendations, influence across the organization and lead through others.
The Executive Gravitas Accelerator™ develops those capabilities while participants remain connected to the work they are already responsible for delivering.
For the organization, this creates a stronger internal leadership pipeline, gives managers an active role in development and reduces the distance between what participants learn and what they apply at work.
More than a sponsored seat.
The individual program develops the participant. Organizational sponsorship connects that development to the participant’s responsibilities, manager and workplace priorities.
The organization is not simply paying for access to the eight-week program. It receives a structured experience before, during and after the program to increase the opportunity for the learning to be applied at work.
Before the Program
The participant and manager receive a Manager Application Guide and join a 30-minute opening conversation with Charlene. Together, they identify the participant’s development goals, current responsibilities and opportunities to apply the learning.
During the Program
The participant completes the full accelerator, attends three private 45-minute executive advisory sessions and may join weekly 30-minute leadership application sessions for sponsored participants.
After the Program
The participant develops a 90-day leadership strategy. A 30-minute closing conversation with the participant, manager and Charlene focuses on progress, continued application and the support required next.
Development that shows up in the work.
Sponsored participants do not step away from the organization to discuss leadership in the abstract. They apply what they are learning to the recommendations, stakeholder conversations, team challenges and business priorities already in front of them.
The program prepares sponsored participants to:
- Present recommendations clearly and defend their position
- Connect their work to enterprise priorities beyond their own function
- Navigate disagreement and negotiate competing needs
- Build support across functions and influence stakeholders outside their reporting line
- Make sound decisions when the information is incomplete
- Lead teams with stronger direction and accountability
- Make their contribution visible to the people making decisions
- Leave with a 90-day leadership plan tied to your business priorities
The program strengthens leadership readiness, internal mobility and the organization’s ability to develop talent from within. Individual promotion, retention and performance outcomes will depend on the participant, her manager and the opportunities available inside the organization.
Built around the decisions leaders face at work.
Many leadership programs end when the class ends. The Executive Gravitas Accelerator™ combines live instruction, practice, private advisory and manager involvement so sponsored participants can connect their development to situations they are already navigating.
The program is led by Charlene Currie, an Ivey Executive MBA and former Director at BMO Financial Group with more than 20 years of leadership experience in complex, regulated organizations. She has led enterprise transformations, integrations, operational turnarounds, governance and risk functions, workforce strategies and large teams through significant change.
She has also participated in talent and succession discussions where executives determined who was ready for greater responsibility.
This is leadership development informed by the realities of how work gets done and how readiness decisions are made.
